The church was organized in 1913 with our first location being
the second floor of a rented hall at 146 North State Street. In
1919 a church building was purchased at the corner of State and Columbia
Streets.
n 1948 we bought a church at our present location. In
1975 a new church was built which included our present sanctuary. In
1996 the Christian Education wing was constructed which in effect
doubled our facilities. In March 2004 a 17,000 square foot addition was
begun which will serve as a community outreach center. We are a
mainstream, protestant denomination of the Wesleyan tradition with
nearly 1.5 million members worldwide. Here are some of the core values
of our church.
