  • SERVE WEEK

One of the most important things we teach at the Grove, and at Marion First as a whole is that “those who are becoming like Jesus serve like Jesus”. At the Grove, it is our goal for students to put feet to their faith through serving others through global mission trips, and local serve projects. As teenagers, it is easy (and normal) to think of themselves first. We want to help your child start to learn there is far more to life than living for one’s self. Serve Week is all about serving and making a difference in the city of Marion. This week your child will have the opportunity to do several projects in various parts of the city such as painting, yard work, park clean up, helping local churches and random acts of kindness. Although there is a lot of hard work, this week is not all about the work. Students will be able to connect with their peers through games, late night activities, and hang out time. In addition, this week is one where students will grow in their faith through daily devotions, and personal prayer and meditation time. We are so excited to have your child participate in our first annual Serve Week at the Grove! For more info contact Pastor Sawyer at sharlow@mfn.org. Sign up deadline is July 11.

  • CAMPFIRE STORIES

Welcome to our summer series, Campfire Stories. This is a series geared to show students what authentic faith looks like. Each Sunday night, we will have one of our adult leaders share their testimony. Pastor Sawyer started off the series by sharing his story of how God uses broken things. Ask your student today what they took away from campfire stories!
